Some Gwinnett Residents Will Pay More for Trash Hauling

Residents in unincorporated Gwinnett County will have to pay a little more each month to have their trashed removed starting next year. 

Under terms of a contract with trash hauling companies set in place in 2010, these residents will see an increase of 30 cents per month in their monthly fee in the 2012 billing cycle. This will bring the total monthly bill for weekly pickup of trash, bulky items and recycling to $18.16. The 12 month fee for 12 months of solid waste service to be included on the 2011 property tax bills totals $217.92. The county expects residents to receive those bills in the second week in September.
