Santorum's Out, Should Gingrich Follow?

Rick Santorum Announced he's dropping out of the presidential race Tuesday. Should Georgia's Newt Gingrich bow out as well?


On Tuesday afternoon, announced he's suspending his bid for the White House. 

USA Today reports Santorum said "We made the decision over the weekend to suspend this campaign." He continues,"While this presidential race is over for me, we are not done fighting... We are going to continue to fight for the Americans who stood up and gave us that air under our wings."

Santorum said the hospitalization of his daughter Bella Friday night made him stop and think about his role as a parent.

Since the former Pennsylvania Senator is suspending his campaign, he still will be able to raise funds.

Meanwhile, Georgia's own is still on the campaign trail. On Sunday, the Huffington Post reported that Gingrich's campaign is slightly less than $4.5 million in debt.

As of Tuesday, Mitt Romney has won 19 states and 661 delegates-- more than half way to the 1,144 needed to win the Republican party nomination. Santorum won 11 states and 285 delegates. Gingrich has less than half the delegates of Santorum with 136 delegates. He's also -- his home state of Georgia and neighboring South Carolina.
