Oakland Road Closed Due to Emergency Repairs

The majority of the road in Lawrenceville, Ga. will be closed until Feb. 11th.

If you travel down Oakland Road in Lawrenceville, you may need to find an alternative route for a few weeks.

The Gwinnett County Department of Transportation announced emergency drainage repairs are forcing the road to be shut down for two weeks. The stretch from Cruse Road to US 29/Lawrenceville Highway is scheduled to re-open Monday, Feb. 11.

Oakland from Cruse to Old Norcross Road will not be affected.

Drivers are asked to use Oakland Road to Cruse Road to Bethesda School Road (southbound) to US 29 to Oakland Road and the reverse as a detour.

Congratulations Sharon, I applaud your passion for reading. I remember consulting you on oneRead More occasion about reading techniques for my son David, who is now in year 6 at the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa, and I used the advise you gave me ; which was to read with him every day, or encourage him to read everyday. He has continued with the habit and is an avid reader today. He has even authored a book which we are in the process of trying to publish. Thankyou. Jane Otieno Nairobi, Kenya.
