New Improvements Now Open at Rhodes Jordan Park

Some major renovations at are now available for visitors to enjoy.

The park now has better access to the lake, new trails and other recreational areas were improved as well.

A new 1.1 mile paved multi-purpose trail and boardwalk now frame the 23 acre lake. The new trail connects to an existing trail and sidewalks.

Also new to the park are an outdoor basketball court, horseshoe courts, three picnic pavilions, restroom building and a parking lot.

The $7.37 million in renovations are not quite complete. A new soccer complex is scheduled to open in spring 2012. The project began in 2010 and was funded by SPLOST.
