Lawrenceville Leaders Chosen for Leadership Gwinnett's 2014 Class

A total of 42 community members, including some from Lawrenceville, make up the new Leadership Gwinnett class.

Several Lawrenceville leaders have been selected as participants in the 2014 class of Leadership Gwinnett.

Community members chosen include: Angie Wright, principal of Craig Elementary School; Lejla Slowinski, executive director of the Lawrenceville Housing Authority; and Dan Mayfield, Gwinnett County chief assistant district atttorney.

The participants' selection was based on work experience, accomplishments, community involvement and education, among other things.Β 

As members, the class of 2014 will attend leadership retreats, learn more about Gwinnett County, participate in study groups and more.

The new class comes just as Leadership Gwinnett announces a new goal to raise $600,000 over the next five years, as reported in the Gwinnett Daily Post.

The fundraising is part of a new community-supported strategic plan, and a kickoff meeting is planned for June 19 in Duluth.Β
