Chandler, Hamilton Win Primaries, Runoff for Beaudreau

Here are the results for Lawrenceville area elections.

Republican Joyce Chandler of Grayson will face off against Democrat Renita Hamilton of Lawrenceville in the race for the newly created State Representative District 105 seat in November.

Chandler defeated Damon Ladd-Thomas 76.58% to 23.42%. Hamilton beat her opponent Rashid Malik by a similar margin-- 78.43% to 21.57%.

Republican Valerie Clark and Democrat Timothy Swiney ran unopposed in their primaries and will go up against each other in November for the SR District 101 seat.

Mike Beaudreau was unable to take home at least 50% of the vote in the race for Gwinnett County Commissioner - District 3. He finished with 47.34%. Tommy Hunter had 22.09%, Jerry Oberholtzer 20.46% and Mike Korom 10.11%.

A runoff election for BOC District 3 and two Gwinnett Judgeship races will be held on Tuesday, August 21.
