Beaudreau Requesting Recount
The District 3 Commissioner is seeking a recount after falling 56 votes short of re-election against Tommy Hunter.
Current Gwinnett County Commissioner Mike Beaudreau is seeking a recount following a close runoff election earlier this month. Gwinnett County's Communication Director Joe Sorenson has confirmed this news in an email to Patch.
The Gwinnett County Republican Party first announced on their Facebook page Monday that Beaudreau is requesting the recount. Beaudreau currently is in last Tuesday's runoff election by just 56 votes.
The Gwinnett GOP says the recount will begin Tuesday, August 28th at 4pm at Elections Headquarters in Lawrenceville. Sorenson expects the recount to be complete by the early evening.
