The Gwinnett County Animal Shelter is currently seeking an Animal Care Specialist to work in Lawrenceville, Ga.
The incumbent will examine animals at the shelter to determine their health and identify illness or disease. They will care for sick and injured animals by giving them medication, monitoring vital signs and more. Other duties include assisting with spaying or neutering animals before adoption, coordinating volunteer activities, maintaining records and more.
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Three years of animal care experience with experience working in an animal healthcare environment as a veterinary technician is preferred.
