911 Communication Officer Trainee

Gwinnett County is hiring for this full-time position.

Gwinnett County is looking to hire a 911 Communication Officer Trainee. Incumbents will be trained on the job. Position requires one year of training and Georgia POST certification. 

The person in this position will answer 911/emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and emergency medical services. They will also give lifesaving and pre-arrival instructions to callers in emergency situations as well as maintain appropriate logs.

A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required along with two years of experience in a fast paced business customer service or telecommunications environment. Applicants must be able to work rotating shifts, nights, holidays and weekends.
