Police: Wrong Way Driver Causes 4-Car Accident on I-85

One of the cars in the accident flipped several times. Alysha Harvin of Jonesboro, Ga. was arrested and charged with DUI, hit and run and other charges.

A wrong way driver on I-85 in Gwinnett County allegedly caused a four car accident on the highway early Sunday morning.

According to Gwinnett County Police, Alysha Harvin of Jonesboro was first spotted driving southbound in the northbound lanes of I-85 near mile marker 106, close to the exit for SR 316 to Lawrenceville at about 4am. 

Police say Harvin caused a four accident near the Pleasant Hill Road exit. One of those cars flipped several times while the others crashed into each other. No one was injured.

Harvin's alleged wrong way run lasted about four miles when police caught up to her near the Beaver Ruin Road exit.

She was arrested and charged with DUI, hit and run, reckless driving and driving on the wrong side of the road.
