Two People Killed in Accident on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd
The three-car accident occurred at the intersection of Riverside Parkway.
An elderly man and and woman were killed in a three-car accident Thursday afternoon in unincorporated Lawrenceville.
Gwinnett County Police spokesperson Cpl. Jake Smith says at around 1pm Thursday, a white GMC van ran through a red light while making a left turn from Riverside Pkwy onto at Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd. The van glanced off a second vehicle before hitting a third vehicle in the driver side door.
The elderly male driver in that car was killed. His passenger, an elderly female, was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. She later died because of her injuries.

The driver of the van, 34 year old Ryan Morton, has been arrested and charged with failure to obey a traffic control device, and two counts of vehicular homicide.
The identities of the deceased are being withheld until their families have been notified.
