Two Men Allegedly Rob Lawrenceville Cell Phone Store at Gunpoint

The suspects made off with several phones and cash. One shouted "Woo hoo!" as the two men left the store.

Gwinnett County Police are on the lookout for two men who reportedly robbed a Boost Mobile store at gunpoint on Thursday, July 18.

According to a police report, two armed men came into the cell phone store at 2785 Cruse Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville just before 3:30PM.

Two employees were in the store at the time. One in front and another who stayed in the back, but heard the entire incident.

The sales associate at the front of the store told police a man wearing all black and a black ski mask came into the store holding a gun and shouting "give me the money!" as another man wearing a white shirt, also with a gun, came in right behind him.

The victim immediately pressed the panic button alerting an alarm company.

The man in black then reportedly jumped over the counter and went to the cash register. The man in white walked around the counter and emptied the associate's purse before stealing four display phones.

In all, the two men made off with $546.06 in cash and five cell phones.

The victim told police one of the suspects shouted "woo hoo!" as he ran out the store.

An attorney's office at a plaza next door caught video of a white van pulling into the parking lot just before the robbery and leaving shortly after. Police are investigating that video to see if there is a connection.
