Two Arrested on Charges of Stealing $65,000 Worth of Chicken Wings

The men are being accused of stealing the wings from their job at Nordic Cold Storage in Gwinnett County.

Two men have been arrested in connection to stealing $65,000 worth of frozen chicken wings in Gwinnett County, according to police.

Renaldo Jackson, of Tucker, and Dewayne Patterson, of Lithonia, were both employees of Nordic Cold Storage off Pleasantdale Road in Doraville, where the chicken was reportedly taken from.

Earlier this month, the manager of Nordic reported to police she saw surveillance tape of Patterson, Jackson and an unknown man backing up an Enterprise truck to one of the company's bay doors.

They loaded 10 pallets Tyson frozen chicken wings onto the truck, according to the Gwinnett Police report.

The men were arrested Jan. 23 on charges of theft by taking.

They're going to spend time in jail for chicken wings? They were going to do big business for the Superbowl! Dumb and worthless crime!

Mark, committing a crime is dumb, but those guys had $65,000. of chicken wings. I cannot come up with how much money they could possibly have made, since there is a real shortage of chicken wings. It would be more lucrative than what many small time bank robbers get. What is really dumb is that these local yokels (? sp) forget that surveillance cameras are everywhere these days.
