SWAT Activity, Bomb Threat on Buford Drive
The intersection of Buford Drive/SR 20 and Russell Road is closed to traffic and pedestrians after a man claimed to have explosives in his car.
Gwinnett County's SWAT is responding to a situation at the at Buford Drive/SR 20 and Russell Road.
An armed man was reportedly in a vehicle at the gas station. He allegedly battered a female in the car and eventually let her go after police intervention. The suspect threatened police and is claiming there are explosives in the car.
SWAT was able to take the man into custody without incident. The Hazardous Device Unit is on the scene checking the car for explosives.
