Suspects Swipe Starbucks Tip Jar, Make Off With 10 Bucks According to Police

The two were arrested and charged with robbery and had to pay far more than $10 to get out of jail.

Two Lawrenceville teens faced hefty fines after allegedly stealing the tip jar from a Buford Starbucks.

According to a police report, on January 3, Sabah Kahrimanovic, 18 of Lawrenceville, picked up his 17 year old friend Sunny Jariwalla, also of Lawrenceville, and the two went to a gas station. Jariwalla then got in the back seat of the car, which Kahrimanovic told officers he thought was odd since it was just the two of them. The passenger then told the driver he wanted to get something to eat at Starbucks.

The two went to the drive-thru at the Starbucks at 3380 Buford Drive in Buford. Jariwalla placed his order. Then when Kahrimanovic pulled up to the window so his friend could pick up his food, Jariwalla allegedly grabbed not only his snack, but also the tip jar. He then told Kahrimanovic to drive off and go.

The employees at the window were able to get a good look at Jariwalla and the license plate of the car the two were driving and called police. Officers were able to look up the plate number and determined it belonged to Kahrimanovic.

An officer pulled on to Kahrimanovic’s street in Lawrenceville, and the suspects turned right behind him. He pulled to the side of the road to get a look at the license plate then followed the two to Kahrimanovic’s home where he handcuffed and questioned Jariwalla and Kahrimanovic.
