Gwinnett County Police say they have arrested two people for the last week.
According to the police report, a 16 year old male from Lawrenceville was identified as the person who went into the Friday. The teen fit the description provided by a Walgreens employee as a white male with carrot hair wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, a black hat and black bandana.
Police decided to charge the teen as an adult after learning he used a .22 caliber revolver, along with a knife, during the robbery.
The teen first went to the photo counter, pointed a gun and demanded money and a cell phone. When the female employee said there was no money at the register and that she did not have a cell phone, the red-haired teen pulled the knife from his pocket, cutting himself, and demanded the employee take him to the store safe.
The young robber made off with an unknown amount of money and then fled the scene.
Police arrested and charged the teen with armed robbery. He was treated by a doctor for his cuts before being released to the staff at the Lawrenceville Regional Youth Detention Center.
GCPD also arrested 19 year old Jaleel Elkins of 383 Downing Street in Lawrenceville. Police say Elkins acted as the lookout during the robbery and never entered the drugstore. He has been charged with armed robbery.
