Rip Off May Be Behind Latest Homicide
GCPD say a scam may have been the reason a 22 year old man Lawrenceville man was shot and killed in Gwinnett County.
On Tuesday evening, Gwinnett County Police found the body of 22 year old Black male in the area of Bridge Walk Dr. and Oak Rd. in unincorporated Lawrenceville.
Police were responding to a call of "shots fired." They searched the area and found the body of Rashad Jones of Lawrenceville near the tennis courts.
During their investigation, police talked to several people and potential suspects who said the motive behind the killing may have been a rip off involving a scam.

GCPD's Cpl. Edwin Ritter says neither the suspects or the victim lived in the neighborhood.
