Reported Gang Members Carried Stolen Playstation in Spongebob Backpack

Three teens, two from Lawrenceville, were arrested on burglary charges.

Gwinnett County Police Department arrested three teens who they say are gang members on outstanding warrants for burglary on April 5th.The group was arrested on the 1400 block of Pleasant Hill Rd. in unincorporated Lawrenceville.

According to a police report, one of the teens was carrying a Spongebob Squarepants back pack. Officers searched that bag and found a Playstation 3 and several games inside. The police ran the serial number of the gaming console and it was not reported stolen at that time. The officers also discovered evidence of possible gang affiliation and learned the three teens may be members of the "Young Black Mafia."

The next day, a Playstation 3 and games were reported as stolen from 4035 Northridge Way and its' serial number matched the one in the teens' backpack.

Burglary investigators were able to develop probable cause and issue warrants for the teens. The three were arrested for outstanding burglary at the McDonalds at 1456 Pleasant Hill Rd. The two 17-year-olds were identified as Xavier "Zae" Morgan of Duluth who was referred to as the President of Young Black Mafia and Deagas "Suede" Hall of Lawrenceville. He was called the gang's Vice President. Both Morgan and Hall were taken Β to Gwinnett County Jail. The third was a juvenile and released into his parents' custody.
