A Gwinnett County teenager is being held without bond on charges he threatened the district attorney and others with letters and emails to get a court case dropped.

According to county jail records, Markel Collins has been charged with four counts of terroristic threats/acts, two counts of intimidation of a juror and a single count of contempt of court.

The Gwinnett Daily Post reported Collins' correspondence included demands for money and made threats against District Attorney Danny Porter and two other people, including his own lawyer.

In the correspondence, Collins allegedly demanded a court case against him be dropped. He was reportedly arrested for threatening to shoot a classmate at Meadowcreek High School last year, but no weapon was found. He was in jail for almost four months, the Post reported.

One of the emails demanded $1 million and threatened to kidnap Porter and hold him for ransom.
