Report: Columbus Fugitive Apprehended in Gwinnett

He was wanted in connection with a May shooting.

A fugitive from Columbus, Ga., was arrested last week in Gwinnett County for his involvement in a May shooting after an argument over a card game.

WTVM-TV reported Albert Ford was arrested in Gwinnett on July 16.

Ford faces charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police said Henry Palmer was wounded in the abdomen on May 5 after multiple shots were fired. Palmer survived the shooting. The incident involved several people, the TV station reported.

Ford has been transported back to Columbus.
