A driver heading down Lawrenceville Hwy in unincorporated Lawrenceville reportedly struck a woman who was walking in the road. The accident happened Friday at about 10:30pm near Hamilton Road. That woman, identified as Natina Reed, age 32, was given CPR on the scene and taken to Gwinnett Medical Center where she died about a half hour after the accident.
According to Gwinnett County Police Sgt. Rich Long, the driver of the red Honda did stop to call 911 for help after hitting Reed. Long says the driver is not at fault and will not face any charges.
WSB-TV reports Reed was a member of the R&B group Blaque and was a protegé of TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes.
This accident occurred on the same day as a hit-and-run accident in Suwanee.
