Police Respond to Armed Robbery

Nu Energy Foods on Herrington Road in Lawrenceville fell victim to an armed robbery.

Gwinnett County Police responded to a reported armed robbery at on Herrington Road in Lawrenceville on Aug. 26.

According to police reports, a known customer entered the store, approached the counter and pointed a silver revolver at the cashier, demanding money and “the book.”

The suspect then fled on foot, heading toward Old Norcross Road. A total of $2,131 was stolen from the cash drawer as well as a receipt book detailing store transactions.

The suspect was identified by the victims, and a warrant for armed robbery has been issued.
