Police: Lawrenceville Woman Repeatedly Rams Into Child's Father's Car at Gwinnett Movie Theater

Jazzmine Nicole Patterson was charged with hit and run, aggravated assault, possession of less than 1 oz. of marijuana and reckless driving.

A Lawrenceville woman is accused of repeatedly crashing into the car of her child's father at a movie theatre in Suwanee.

According to the Suwanee Police report, the accident was reported around 10:24 p.m. last Saturday (April 20) at Movie Tavern, located off Lawrenceville Suwanee Road.

One of the vehicles, a purple Honda Accord, had left the scene, and police were able to recognize it down the road and conduct a traffic stop.

In the vehicle were three women, including the driver, Jazzmine Nicole Patterson.

Patterson told the officer that she had an argument at the movie theater with the father of her child. She denied striking another vehicle with her car and said any damage on her Honda was from an accident two weeks before.

Police observed damage on the car hood and all along the front bumper.

The officer also smelled unburnt marijuana coming from the car, and when he confronted her about it, Patterson handed over a plastic bag with a green leafy substance that tested positive for the drug. The vehicle was searched for other contraband but none was found.

The father of her child and the woman he was with told their version of the story. The two said they both saw Patterson and her two friends when they were leaving his uncle's house to go to Movie Tavern.

When they arrived at the theater, they noticed Patterson in the parking lot. The two tried to drive away, but Patterson began to pursue them. According to the other party, Patterson struck their vehicle two or three times with her own car.

The man got out of his vehicle and told Patterson that he had called police. Patterson then left, he said.

Police determined that Patterson was the primary aggressor in the incident and she was arrested.

Patterson was charged with hit and run, aggravated assault, possession of less than 1 oz. of marijuana and reckless driving.

When Patterson's father came to pick up her vehicle, he told police that some of the damage to the front bumper was from a previous incident, but other injury to it was new.
