Gwinnett County Police have arrested a man they believe to be responsible for .
According to police, the suspect primarily targeted cell phone stores but has also robbed two appliance stores, a tobacco shop, and attempted a robbery at a Days Inn. Five of the robberies have occurred within city jurisdictions. Norcross Police, and Lilburn Police investigated those incidents.
After Police identified the man's tags using surveillance footage, Gwinnett Police were able to narrow the list of suspects to just a few. Derrick Cage, 28, of Snellville was a close match to the physical description in the robberies. Detectives and several city agencies worked together to apprehend the suspect, who is now in the Gwinnett Detention Center.
The first robbery took place on November 30th in Doraville. Frequently, the suspect visits the target location prior to the robbery posing as a customer. The suspect returns later to commit the armed robbery. On multiple occasions, he has been seen fleeing the scene in a silver 2006-2010 Dodge Charger with a sun roof and stock chrome wheels.
