Police Arrest Lawrenceville Woman for Bank Robbery

GCPD says a tipster called in after seeing the story on the news and helped them break the case.

Gwinnett County Police have arrested 58 year old Johnette Pinkerton for reportedly robbing the SunTrust Bank at 2171 Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth Tuesday.

After seeing the story in the news, a tipster called detectives and Pinkerton was identified as a result. Detectives compared Pinkerton's ID photos to security video and determined them to be a match.

Police say Pinkerton went in to the SunTrust Bank and gave the teller a threatening note demanding money. The teller gave Pinkerton $3,000 in cash and the suspect left, driving off in a light green passenger car.
