No Injuries in House Shop Fire Near Lawrenceville

Fire was located off Old Peachtree Road near Lawrenceville.

Gwinnett County firefighters worked a large fire at a shop building behind a residence on Old Peachtree Road near Lawrenceville Thursday evening, March 13.

No injuries were reported.

Gwinnett County firefighters were called out to a house fire incident at the above address. Crews arrived to find a large shop building behind the residence fully involved with fire. The building was approximately 1 mile from the road. Due to the extra long distance from the hydrant crews used water from the fire engines on the scene and called the 3500 gallon water tender to supply water for the defensive fire fight. The exposures were protected from the raging fire. A backhoe was called to the scene to cut a fire break to prevent fire spread.

No injuries were reported and the cause is currently undetermined. Information will be updated when available.

4-Engines, 1-Medic Ambulance, 1-Ladder Truck, Water Tender, 1-Squad Truck, 1-Battalion Chief
