New Details About Fatal Accident

Police have identified the two victims of Thursday afternoon's fatal car accident. According to police, 78 year old Ronald Osier died on the scene Osier's wife June, 76, died at the hospital after suffering injuries.

Gwinnett County Police say Ryan Morton, 34, ran a red light at Riverside Pkwy and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd. Morton's white Chevy Astro first hit a yellow Dodge Ram, causing minor damage. The driver of that truck was not injured. Morton's van then hit the white Mercury Marquis carrying the Osiers. The van struck the driver side door of the car.

Morton was arrested at the scene and charged with failure to obey a traffic control device (red light) and two counts of vehicular homicide, second degree. 

Police say speed, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the accident.
