Missing Arkansas Teen Found with Male in Norcross

The juvenile was located at the Sinclair Apartments in Norcross.

A juvenile girl, listed as a missing person in Arkansas, was found at the Sinclair Apartment complex in Norcross, Ga., on Dec. 24.

Officer Greg Harper of the Hope Police Department in Arkansas contacted the Gwinnett County Police Department after receiving a call from the girl’s mother.  The juvenile texted her mother her location and that she wanted to come home.

According to the police report, Gwinnett County Officer T. Dunaway was notified the juvenile may be accompanied by a Hispanic male, Luis Felipe Nunez-Martinez.

When Officer Dunaway arrived at the apartment in question, he was greeted by a male who claimed to not speak much English.  When the officer asked the male if anyone else in the apartment spoke English, he brought a young girl to the door.

The girl was confirmed to be the runaway juvenile missing from Hope, Arkansas.  She came out with two bags in her hands and asked if she could speak with the officer outside the apartment.  She then explained to the officer that she and Nunez-Martinez, the male who initially opened the door, had met online.  They chatted and texted back and forth, when the juvenile told Nunez-Martinez she wanted him to come get her and take her back to Georgia.

The juvenile told Nunez-Martinez that she was 17, but she is really 14.  Nunez-Martinez told her he was 20, but is really 23.

On Dec. 22, Nunez-Martinez drove from Georgia to Arkansas.  The juvenile says she went willingly, according to the police report.  Once she got to Nunez-Martinez's apartment, 3600 Park Colony Drive #2207, the two engaged in sexual intercourse.  The juvenile claimed that she then got scared, according to the report, and wanted to go home.

The juvenile was then taken to the Gwinnett precinct while she waited for a guardian to pick her up and escort her home.

Nunez-Martinez was arrested and charged with two counts of statutory rape and interference with custody.
