Marathon Gas Station in Lawrenceville Robbed at Gunpoint

Cash, cigarettes and the owner's wallet were taken in the incident.

A Marathon gas station in Lawrenceville was robbed at gunpoint earlier this month.

According to the Lawrenceville Police report, the incident occurred at the 445 West Pike Street establishment around 9:46 p.m. on a recent Friday.

According to the victim, an unknown man came into the station, jumped the counter and pointed a gun at the owner, 62. The suspect told him to give him the money, to which the victim complied by opening the cash drawer.

The suspect also took five cartons of cigarettes and the owner's wallet. He then exited the store in an unknown direction.

The victims said the suspect was a slim black male who was wearing a black bandanna over his face. His firearm was a black handgun.
