Man Charged with Kidnapping Woman in Lawrenceville

Ronald Foster has been arrested for kidnapping a woman at a Lawrenceville CVS.

Gwinnett County Police arrested 45 year old Ronald Foster reportedly kidnapping a woman at the at the corner of Herrington and Cruse Roads.

On August 7th, police received a call from two men who say they were the boyfriend and friend of the 23 year old victim. One of the men told officers that the victim had been abducted and was being driven around by Foster at the time.

Police learned the victim had been using the redbox DVD kiosk at around 10:30pm when Foster reportedly pressed what he claimed was a gun to the young woman's back. Foster then ordered her into the passenger seat of her own car and he got in the driver's seat. The suspect then drove the woman to several locations and asked her to withdraw $500 from the ATM. The suspect then told her alleged abductor that she only had a credit card and she did not have a PIN to make withdrawls. He then ordered her to purchase drinks and cigarettes and get cash back. The victim was unable to get cash back from the credit card.

Foster allowed her to use her cell phone to call and arrange to get the money. He agreed to let her go only after they picked up the money.

The victim told Foster that her friend only spoke Spanish and he allowed her to talk directly to her friend. The woman told her friend in Spanish what was happening and her friend then called the police.
