Lawrenceville Man Killed, Another Charged with Murder in Quadruple Shooting

GCPD charged a Lawrenceville man with murder and other charges related to the incident in Buford Tuesday.

The victims in Tuesday's quadruple shooting in Buford have been identified. Gwinnett County Police say Trenton Jones of 2000 Henderson Way of Lawrenceville and Daniel Turpin of 2283 Ivy Crest Dr. of Buford, both 23, were shot and killed. Haile Lewis of Lawrenceville and Justin Kendall of Buford, both 23 as well, were shot and survived.

According to GCPD Cpl. Edwin Ritter, Turpin brokered a drug deal with Lewis and Jones at Turpin's home. The deal fell through and Lewis began beating Turpin before shots were fired. Turpin and Jones died on the scene. Ritter said Kendall, who had been shot several times, ran to a neighbor's home to ask for help. Lewis, who also suffered multiple gunshot wounds, drove off in a car. He later arrived at Grady Hospital in a stolen car seeking treatment for his injuries.

A 17 year old girl was reportedly in the home at the time, however Ritter says she has no connection with the transaction and did not witness the shootings.
