Lawrenceville Bus Driver Attacked on CCT Bus in Kennesaw
Altercation on CCT bus injures Lawrenceville resident.
A Lawrenceville man was a victim in an aggravated assault on Monday, Feb. 20, in Kennesaw.
According to a Cobb County Police Department press release, a female passenger on a CCT bus in Kennesaw borrowed another passenger’s cell phone and then refused to return it to him.

The two passengers began arguing, and the bus driver confronted them in an attempt to defuse the situation. The female passenger then pulled out a knife. A struggle ensued and the knife fell on the floor of the bus. The female grabbed a pen from the shirt pocket of the bus driver and stabbed him repeatedly in the face.
The victim, identified as 39-year-old Damian Haney of Lawrenceville, was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where he was treated for injuries and released, according to the police report.
Taniesha Nicole Twyne was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault and theft by conversion. Twyne was treated at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for minor injuries and taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
