Lawrenceville Man Charged with Kidnapping
Police in Gainesville, Ga. say the 19 year old kidnapped a woman at knifepoint.
A 19 year old Lawrenceville man has been arrested on charges of kidnapping a woman at knifepoint in Gainesville on Monday.
According to AccessNorthGa.com, Gainesville Police Cpl. Joe Britte said Rene Vargas reportedly forced the woman into a vehicle, then took her to Flowery Branch. From there, Vargas and the victim got into a cab and were dropped off near the Mall of Georgia in Buford.

"Our investigators went out there and actually made contact with the suspect and the victim walking on foot on Buford Drive heading toward Lawrenceville," said Britte to AccessNorthGA.com.
Lawrenceville Police assisted in the apprehension of Vargas.

The woman, who according to Britte was familiar with Vargas, was not harmed.
