Lawrenceville Man Arrested After Allegedly Leading Police on Chase

Bryan Seth Stanley of Lawrenceville allegedly fled from police in Duluth Monday before crashing into a cop car.

Police have identified the man who reportedly tried to run from them Monday, ending in a crash in unincorporated Duluth.

According to the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office's website, Bryan Seth Stanley of 1511 Glendale Drive in Lawrenceville was arrested by Duluth Police on a long list of charges.

Those charges are:

  • DUI-drugs
  • fleeing or elude police officer
  • possession of less than an ounce of marijuana
  • speeding
  • driving while license suspended/revoked
  • reckless driving
  • hit & run-failure to stop & render aid
  • improper right turn
  • obstruction of officer

The chase began Monday when a Duluth Police Department officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on a car reportedly driven by Stanley.

"The suspect vehicle did not stop and fled a short distance before the driver abandoned the vehicle and continued to flee on foot," officials said in a Gwinnett County Police media release.

The chase ultimately ended when Stanley's car was struck by a vehicle driven by Duluth police. The crash happened at the intersection of Steve Reynolds Boulevard and Old Norcross Road according the media release stated.

Stanley was taken to the hospital with injuries.

He is currently being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center $10,400 bond.
