Inside the Police Reports: Why Are You Driving So Slow?

A driver on a Moped was arrested on Duluth Highway in connection to the vehicle going too slow in Lawrenceville.

A Lawrenceville driver was arrested last week after an officer saw him driving a low-speed motorcycle on a fast road.

According to the Gwinnett County Police report, the officer spotted a blue 2009 Moped around 6:30 p.m. one day last week on Duluth Highway near Riverside Parkway.

There, the speed limit is 45 miles per hour and was deemed too fast for the vehicle.

After activating the officer's blue lights and pulling him over, the driver said he didn't have a license on him and it was actually suspended. The officer learned that the suspension was due to a DUI.

The driver, Nathan Brian Chrisitan, 32, was arrested on charges of driving on a suspended license and operating a low-speed vehicle on roads above 35 miles per hour.
