Food Fight Lands Lawrenceville Brothers Behind Bars

Even after being taken to jail, each was bragging about beating up the other.

Dinner turned into a debacle landing Lawrenceville brothers in handcuffs.

It was dinner time at the Lemke household on Thursday, Jan. 9. Zachary Lemke, 19, and his 17 year old brother Austin were called to dinner by their mother.

According to the police report, younger brother Austin was trying to get his food, but his big brother blocked his way in the kitchen. Their mother told Zachary to move, and then he told Austin to wait.

The teens then started arguing and trash talking.

Austin told Zachary he would hit his plate of food and then did. Zachary reportedly then threw the plate at his younger brother.

Their mother told police the two were fighting and wrestling all over the house in front of their other siblings. She said Zachary then started punching Austin. The mother was able to separate the two and told her older son to go outside, but the younger brother ran out and followed and began attacking him again.

Once again, the mother broke up the two and called the police.

Officers arrested Zachary and his brother Austin for disorderly conduct. They were taken to the Gwinnett County Jail in separate patrol cars.

While locked up behind bars, each of the Lemke brothers bragged about beating up the other brother.

The Lemke brothers spent a whole day in jail before they were each released on $140 bond.
