Fire Destroys Lawrenceville Home

The house on Rolling Ridge Road was deemed a total loss.

At about 1:30 Saturday morning, Gwinnett County Firefighters received a call of a home fully engulfed in flames.

When crews arrived to the house on the 3400 block of Rolling Ridge Road, they found the 1,500 square foot one story house covered by heavy smoke and fire.Β 

Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services spokesman Colin Rhoden said in a release that the fire was so extensive that it was impossible for firefighters to go inside to battle the flames.

Fortunately, the two adults living in the home were able to escape unharmed.

It took firefighters about a half hour to get the fire under control.

The house was declared a total house. A neighboring house also suffered some moderate damage to the siding and eaves due to the radiant heat from the blaze.
