A Lawrenceville home was a total loss from an early morning fire Saturday.
No injuries were reported, but a family of five (two adults, three kids) were displaced by the fire on Waters Ferry Drive in Lawrenceville.
The fire occurred around 2 a.m. on Saturday, May 24.
Gwinnett Fire spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge reported firefighters found the house fully involved in flames on arrival. One of the occupants was awake and discovered the fire after hearing a noise, and the family was able to escape.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
“The fire appears to have started on the exterior of the home near the chimney on the right side and spread to the interior,” Rutledge stated in a media release.
