UPDATE: Fallen Tree Limb Causes 3-Car Accident

The tree limb reportedly broke in Lawrenceville during Monday's strong rain. The driver of a Lawrenceville city truck was in critical condition.

Update, 3:05 p.m.: One of the vehicles involved in the accident is a City of Lawrenceville truck. The driver is listed in critical condition, officials said. The driver of a second pickup was also taken to a hospital.

At about 1:45pm, Lawrenceville Police report a tree limb has fallen onto the road and caused a three vehicle accident. According to LPD's Capt. Gregory Vaughn, the limb fell on Stone Mountain Street near Constitution Ave and hit at least one of the cars.Β 

Two people were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.Β
