DragonCon Co-Founder Pleads Guilty to Child Molestation Charges

Edward Kramer was sentenced to 34 months of house arrest and cannot leave Gwinnett County.

One of the founders of the science fiction convention DragonCon pleaded guilty to child molestation charges Monday in a Gwinnett County courtroom.

Edward Elliot Kramer pleaded guilty to three charges of child molestation as part of a plea agreement according to WSB-TV.

Kramer was sentenced to 34 months of house arrest and must register as a sex offender. He will also have to pay each of his three victims $100,000 by July 31, 2014. Kramer will not be allowed to leave Gwinnett County.

He was first charged with sexually abusing three teenage boys in 2000. He did not stand trial because he was believed to be physically incapable due to spinal and respiratory problems and was released on bond.

In 2011, he was arrested in Connecticut where he was found alone in a hotel room with a 14 year old boy.
