Dismissal Delayed at Collins Hill HS Due to Lockdown
Parents will not be allowed to check out students at either Collins Hill HS or Walnut Grove ES according to a GCPS spokesman.
Police responding to a call of a suicidal person in the area of Collins Hill High School and Walnut Grove Elementary School have forced the schools in unincorporated Gwinnett County .
In an email, GCPS spokesman Jorge Quintana said the release time at Collins Hill will be delayed until the high school gets the all clear from Gwinnett County Police.
Quintana also says parents will not be able to check their students out of either Collins Hill or Walnut Grove until the lockdown is over.

Collins Hill normally dismisses at 2:10pm while Walnut Grove typically gets out at 3:20pm.
