Cops ID Lawrenceville Men in Thefts in GA and AL

Dexter Damion Griffith, 20, and Joshua Ryan Cole, 22, both of Lawrenceville, are believed to be responsible for at least 15 thefts at Walmarts and other stores in various jurisdictions in both Georgia and Alabama.

Authorities with the  have identified the two men from Lawrenceville suspected of stealing 51 Apple iPods worth more than $7,000 from the .

Dexter Damion Griffith, 20, and Joshua Ryan Cole, 22, both of Lawrenceville, are wanted in connection with the July 19 theft, Canton Police Det. Candy Worthy said in a news release Wednesday.

"These suspects are also believed to be responsible for at least 14 other similar thefts in various jurisdictions in both Georgia and Alabama," she said. "Arrest warrants are currently outstanding for these two suspects."

In July, the . Worthy didn't say if that is what led authorities to Griffith and Cole.

"Detectives have secured and served a search warrant related to this investigation," she said. "Detectives have forwarded these warrants to the jurisdiction in which the suspects reside for service."
