Restaurant Voluntarily Closes After Scoring 35…

What Would You Do if You Won?

The MegaMillions jackpot is now $363 million. What would you do with that money?

The jackpot for Tuesday night's MegaMillions drawing now stands at $363 million. That's more than a third of a billion dollars.

What would you do if you won? Would you quit your job? Buy a house? Donate a large sum of cash to a charity? Share it with your favorite Patch Editor? (Eh, it was worth a shot!) Tell us in the comments section below.

I would not quit my job(s), but I would buy multiple houses. The one I'm renting, one in New Zealand that looks Bilbo's, one in France. Then I would buy a '57 chevy truck and paint it baby blue with chrome trim. Give a million each to my best friends and family members and set aside the rest for my kids. Oh and a plane so I can go to my homes whenever I want. Am I out of money yet? I've thought about this a lot LOL! Hm... wait... maybe not multiple homes. Maybe just this one and a castle. And a ticket to fly to space with Virgin Galactic. What would you do with it Vanzetta?

I just sent my husband out to buy a ticket...

Hmmm... I wouldn't want to quit my job either, but it would be really hard to get to breaking news in Lawrenceville from my home on the French Riviera. Even with the private jet. I'd also want to set up a scholarship at my alma mater, maybe a couple of other scholarships too and donate to the women's shelter I used to volunteer at and several other charities. But first I'd get the whole winnings in singles, fill up a swimming pool with it and do laps in the money like Scrooge McDuck!

My son had cancer, and after being in a hospital for a year straight and watching all the children fighting for their lives.. the first thing i would do is start a foudation for those families who don't have much that are trying to do everything they can to save their child. I would next donate a large amount of money to the leukemia lymphoma society on behalf of both my son and his father, as well as donate to the susan g komen society on my moms behalf. I would buy myself a small house and put it in the middle of a large beautiful field.. I would pay off the car I already own and set-up my son a large savings account for his education and future. After this I would continue to work my job, because it's a great company and I enjoy working there, I am not a lazy person and would not just quit everything. I would continue my schooling and begin my career. Once everything has calmed down over the money, and I have completed most of my goals, I would begin my round trip tour of the U.S. Every place I stop to visit I'd test people in different meaningful ways and those that show to be true at heart would share in my blessings as I had. And this is just the start...

Ha! An organization that I've always wanted to help financially is the International Justice League. They recruit cops and detectives to combat human trafficking all across the world. I like the scholarship idea though!

Very admirable goals, Kristin! Maybe one day you could do that, even without the lottery :)

Well! I lost! Got excited because I had the first number and the second one was the one I meant to play.

First and foremost, I would pay off all my family's debt. Fix up their houses, pay off their farms, help them with their medical needs and so on. Then I would pay off my debt and pay for a wedding so that my fiance and I don't have to ask for financial help with our wedding. I would then put a big portion into savings and use the rest to help as many people as I could. I know there are so many people out there where $1000 could make A HUGE DIFFERENCE. Just pay off that one high interest loan, fix their car, take them to the dentist, and so on. With the right financial planning, I could help others for the rest of my life, my future kids' lives, and their childrens' lives!
