October Halloween Family Fun Near Lawrenceville

Make use of those Halloween costumes by going to various events throughout the month of October.

Halloween not only comes with tons of candy, but for some an overly expensive costume. It is like buying that one dress that will never be worn again. This year both my children will be participating in Halloween. After I saw the prices of their costumes, I realized that it would be an absolute crime to have them wear these outfits only once. So after many conversations with some friends I realized that I can at least get three wears out of these costumes. Listed below are a variety of Halloween fun activities:

Lawrenceville Ghost Tours: Bring your family along for a late night tour throughout some of the scary historic sites of Lawrenceville. These tours are of course guided by a professional and take place every night in October. Starting times begin at 7:00pm.

Halloween Bash and Mall Wide Trick O’ Treat: Sugarloaf Mills (former Discover Mills) in Lawrenceville will host a mall wide trick or treat event along with additional activities on Oct. 30th starting at 5:00pm. Costumes are encouraged.

Georgia A-Scary-Um: On October 31st, Georgia Aquarium will have various family friendly activities going on for Halloween. Up to 2 children per adult get in free as long as those children are in costume.

Brick O Treat: Atlanta’s Legoland will be having a Halloween costume contest on Oct. 27th and Oct. 28th at 1pm and 5pm.

Mall Wide Trick O’Treating: The Mall of Georgia will also be having a mall wide trick or treating event on Wednesday, October 31st from 6:00pm-9:00pm.

Buford Corn Maze: Go out for some full family fun at the Buford Corn Maze. This cornfield has been turned into an all out fun extravaganza for the whole family. The Buford Corn Maze has hayrides, fun crafts and face painting for the kids and it literally has a corn maze for the family to enjoy!  Open every day starting at 10am weekdays and 12pm weekends.

Don't allow that $30 costume to be used for one night of fun! Go out and dress your child up at least three times to simply get some use out of them. Besides, there is no guarantee their sibling will be able to fit that hand me down costume next year. Happy Halloween!
