Cindy Sutt, 63, Beloved Supporter of Community Arts

Visitation, memorial service scheduled March 22, beginning at 10 a.m.

Services are Saturday morning for a beloved supporter of the arts who passed away this week.

Cynthia “Cindy” Sutt, 63, died March 19 after a long struggle with cancer.

Visitation is at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, in the Duluth First United Methodist Church fellowship area. A memorial service will follow at the church at 11 a.m. A reception is planned following the service at the Sutt’s home.

Sutt was a longtime resident of Duluth and a big supporter of the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, as well as many other arts-oriented efforts in Gwinnett. She spearheaded the launch of Duluth’s Barefoot in the Park arts festival, which celebrates its 10th year this year. She also received the first Fusion Lifetime Achievement award from ArtWorks! Gwinnett in 2012 for her many contributions.
