What do you do In the Meantime?

This blog is about What we can do in between the big events in life.

Life!! It seems to move from one big event to the next, and we live for the next big thing! I had the pleasure of attending a fundraiser for Covenant Christian Counseling and the theme of the night was to raise awareness for and shining a light on depression. It was a lovely evening and the speakers, Andy Copeland and Senator Renee Unterman, were there to support the event by sharing their stories. We have all experienced depression to some extent as we travel through life. There are the ups and downs and my question as we get older is What do we do in the Meantime?  What do we do between the events that feed our lives with the good and the depressing. My answer to that from my experience is we study, we learn and we worship. We need to be prepared for our events in life. If we are continually growing and learning we are able to help others through their events in life. We can help others reach their goals and their God given potential. Feed your minds with the positive and share that positive power with others. As we get older we worry about finances, health and how we will survive. In stead of worrying we should take action in "our meantime". Connect with others who are going through a hard time and offer a helping hand. Your own problems will not seem so bad. In the meantime, before your next big event boost, hear the still small voice of God calling you to lend a helping hand and heart to another.  Mary
