Recycle Your Christmas Tree Starting Dec. 26

Gwinnett County will use the mulch from the trees to beautify local parks. Find out where you can drop yours off in Lawrenceville.

After Christmas is over and done, some people will recycle their wrapping paper. Others will recycle gifts. But all Gwinnett County residents can recycle their Christmas trees.

The county is holding their "Bring One for the Chipper" event and will begin collecting live, undecorated trees on Thursday, Dec. 26. Residents can bring trees to drop-off locations across the county until Saturday, Jan. 18.

Fire station drop-off locations are open 24 hours. Other facilities will be open during their regular business hours.

Drop-off locations in Lawrenceville are:

  • Fire Station 9, 1900 Five Forks-Trickum Road
  • Fire Station 15, 275 S. Perry Street
  • Fire Station 20, 1801 Cruse Road
  • Fire Station 25, 3575 Lawrenceville Highway
