Community Corner

" A night for dreams"

Cinderella’s Closet & More of Atlanta Inc. (CCMA Inc.), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Lawrenceville, GA, has teamed up with the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta to create “A Night for Dreams”. CCMA Inc. is a member of the United Way of Metro Atlanta, Gwinnett Coalition for Human Services and Donate My Dress.org, a nationwide network of non-profit organizations that provide free prom attire to financially challenged high school juniors and seniors who otherwise are unable to attend prom.

CCMA Inc. is once again opening up its closets to help students with its program “give a day of service, get free prom attire”. Students can volunteer for ten (8-10) hours at any non-profit organization of their choice or any school function that promotes community service. In exchange for their community service, teens can shop during CCMA Inc.’s annual boutique shopping day “A Night for Dreams”.

The event is to be held at the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta- Lawrenceville (Teen Center),  382 Stone Mountain Street Lawrenceville, GA 30046. CCMA Inc has set the date for March 19, 2011 from 9:00am to 5:00pm to distribute the prom attire. Students or parents must register for the event online by visiting our website www.cinderellasclosetofatl.org. CCMA Inc. asks that the student and parent bring the following items: (1) A letter from non-profit organization showing that the student completed their (8-10) hours of community service, (2) School picture ID or proof of school enrollment (State ID is not accepted), and (3) Proof of family income that shows the type of public assistance your family receives i.e free or reduced lunch, tanf ,food stamps, Medicaid, or student is in foster care program.
