Georgia Department of Public Health Presents 20th Annual Immunize Georgia Conference September 12, 2013

ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Public Health is proud to present the 20th Annual Immunize Georgia Conference at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia on Thursday, September 12, 2013.


At the event, attendees will have the opportunity to network, hear the latest in immunization updates and support immunization services as we continue to promote awareness in Georgia.  


Guest speakers for this year’s conference include: Dr. Paul Offit, Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases and the Director of the Vaccine Education Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; Dr. Walt Orenstein, Professor of Medicine, Global Health, and Pediatrics at Emory University and the former Deputy Director for Vaccine-Preventable Diseases at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; and Donna Weaver, Nurse Educator for the Education, Information and Partnership Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  Continuing education hours will be provided at the conference to pharmacists, RNs, and MDs.
