The Chancel Choir of the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville along with the Atlanta Festival Orchestra will present a Christmas concert on Sunday, December 15 at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary. The concert is free.
The choir and orchestra will present works by two of the most famous baroque composers – J. S. Bach’s MAGNIFICAT (excerpts) and Antonio Vivaldi’s GLORIA . There will also be a sing-a-long of Christmas carols accompanied by orchestra and organ along with some new music for Christmas sung by the choir.
Bill Steele, Direct of Music Ministries at First Methodist, says that this concert is a must-see particularly if one is unable to get to Atlanta this season to partake in any of the musical offerings in the city.
The concert is free and a nursery is provided.
